What are the lollipops made of?
The ingredients of my lollipops include sugar (plain white), water, cream of tartar and cornflour. I then add different colours and flavour essences (some natural, some artificial). Lollipops contain no added preservatives.
How long will they last?
Since lollipops are mainly made of boiled sugar, they don't really go "off". However, over time, they can lose their clarity and become cloudy. This being said, when kept refrigerated they can be kept indefinitely!
What are the edible images made of?
The printed designs on the lollipops are printed on icing using a variety of edible inks (just like a photo cake). I print photos or images on A4 sheets of sugar icing, then manually cut them into the desired size. The icing has a subtle taste of vanilla and sugar.
The icing sheets (supplied in Australia by the BakeGroup) originate from Israel. Our premium quality edible inks come from Italy and are totally safe to eat and are gluten-free.
